WHY IMMOBILISE?

Why immobilise
your enzymes?

Keep catalytic activity in the process.
Build the commercial case around productive lifetime.

Reuse the enzyme

Retain the catalyst for repeated batches or extended flow campaigns.

Lower enzyme cost

Spread catalyst investment over more product when useful activity is retained.

Simplify separation

Separate the solid biocatalyst from the process stream and reduce downstream enzyme removal.

Enable continuous flow

Hold the catalyst in place while substrate moves through a controlled reactor.

The benefit is measured in your process: conversion, catalyst lifetime, leaching and cost per unit of product.

USEFUL TO KNOW

Built around
your requirements.

Can you work with our enzyme?

Yes. We welcome enquiries for custom immobilisation, including enzymes outside the current catalogue. Share the preparation, target reaction, assay and operating conditions so we can define an evaluation.

Which functional groups are available?

Our silica materials offer up to eight different functional groups. Contact us for the current surface-chemistry options and a project-specific recommendation.

Can you support novel use cases?

Yes. Bring us your immobilisation concept, including non-standard substrates, multi-step catalysis or other biomolecule-support applications. We can discuss feasibility, material requirements and a development programme.

How do we assess the commercial case?

Measure product output per catalyst campaign, replacement frequency, operating costs, downstream separation and the required equipment. Reuse alone is not a cost model; productive lifetime is what matters.

Can we start with an evaluation?

Yes. Discuss an initial support or biocatalyst evaluation with our technical team. We will agree the scope, preparation, quantity and supply terms before work starts.
